It’s National Love Your Pet Day! Or as we like to say, official-excuse-to-dote-on-your-dog day (as if we need an excuse, but hey, we’ll take it!)
National Love Your Pet Day is celebrated on February 20th each year, and is a day to show your four-legged bestie just how much you love and appreciate them. After all, pets bring so much joy to our lives and give us their unconditional love 365 days of the year, so they well and truly deserve their own doggie-dedicated day.
Need some ideas to spoil your pet today? Whether it’s baking some extra tasty DIY treats or gifting a stylish pet accessory, going on a longer walk or giving some extra TLC, as long as you’re spending quality time with your dog, there’ll be waggy tails aplenty on their special day.

5 Things We Love Most About Ziggy
- The oh-so-adorable morning cuddles! Ziggy isn’t a particularly affectionate dog, but that’s what makes his morning cuddles so much sweeter. Besides, is there any cuter way to start your day than with a floofy hug from your bestie?
- His luscious curly locks! We *might* be biased, but Ziggy has the best hair-do going ’round. He always wins praise about his floppy fringe, which we occassionally tie up in a confident hipster man-bun.
- Ziggy loves us both equally. Whenever we’re at opposite sides of our home, Ziggy will lay down, smack bang in the centre of the house, so he can keep an eye on both of us at all times.
- He’s sassy and sweet in equal measure. While Ziggy often loves to throw shade at us and grumble disapprovingly under his breath, his morning cuddles more than make up for it.
- Ziggy prefers to carry his own lead when leaving the house, as if to say “I am my own man and can take myself for a walk, thank you very much!” He’s a total character – his silly antics make us smile every single day!
